Writtenforapurpose.com is a lifestyle blog based on Psalm 138:8 ~ “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.” This Scripture verse is a truth I hold close to my heart. It encouraged me at a time when I was struggling to discern my life’s purpose, and it still encourages me today. Psalm 138:8 reminds me that God has planned a special purpose for my life and He will see that purpose through to completion. Put another way, my life story — and yours — was Written for a Purpose.

This blog is rooted in the Christian faith and offers a space to celebrate the little gifts of life: good stories, yummy recipes, and ideas to inspire. My hope is that this blog provides a bit of encouragement amidst an often discouraging world. Ultimately, I hope it points you back to Him — the only One who can give you peace, hope, a future, and a purpose.

Hi there! I’m Elizabeth. I was born and raised in Illinois and am a recent college grad with a degree in English Writing and Spanish.

I have a Polish and Italian heritage, two incredible parents, a lovable Australian Cattle Dog named Blue, and a deep passion for language and the outdoors. Over the past few years, I’ve also developed a soft spot in my heart for the kitchen.

When I’m not writing, reading, or working, I enjoy going for walks with my dog, sitting around a bonfire with friends and family, and kayaking the beautiful lakes near my home and up in Northern Michigan.
